Prevention Now: gentle routines, happier days

Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 28, 2026

This policy describes what information is handled when you read preventionnow.net, how the operator uses it and what choices you have. In it, “we” and “us” refer to whoever runs Preventionnow.

Why health readers deserve extra care

People often read about symptoms, screening, pregnancy, menopause or medication in private. We treat your reading habits on this site as sensitive in spirit, and we aim to collect as little as the site needs to function and improve. We do not ask you to create an account to read any article.

Visit logs

The servers that deliver our pages keep standard logs. An entry can include your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, your browser and device type and the page that referred you. We use logs to keep the site running, to find faults and abuse, and to see in broad terms which health topics readers find useful. We do not use logs to build a profile of your medical interests.

Cookies and similar technology

Preventionnow can place small files or use similar browser storage. Some are required for pages to load properly. Others, where enabled, count audiences, remember a display preference, support advertising or record which link led a visitor to a retailer for affiliate attribution. A file set by an outside provider is under that provider’s control, not ours.

Browser controls and opt-out signals

Your browser settings let you refuse or clear cookies, and private windows or tracker-blocking extensions reduce what is recorded while you read about health topics. Where your browser sends a do-not-track or global privacy signal, we will treat it as an opt-out request wherever the technology we use allows. Blocking some cookies may change how parts of Preventionnow behave.

What you send us

If you email [email protected], we receive your address and anything you write. We read it to respond, to check and fix the article you mention and to remember what was already discussed if you write again. Please avoid including personal medical details, because we cannot give individual advice and do not need them. We do not sell your messages and will not publish them without asking you.

Newsletters and forms

If a newsletter or form is offered, the details you enter are used only for that purpose, such as delivering the updates you requested. Every newsletter will include a way to opt out, and a plain email asking to be taken off the list is also honoured.

Outside services

Operating a health website involves outside providers. These can include hosting and content delivery, analytics, advertising and affiliate networks, and embedded material such as videos. They may receive technical data about your visit so their service works. Their handling of that data is set by their own notices, not by us.

How long information is kept

Visit logs are held only for a short operational window before they are erased or boiled down to counts that identify no one. Emails are kept while they remain useful for replying, correcting an article or meeting a legal duty, then deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask what personal information we hold, request correction or deletion, object to certain uses or withdraw consent you gave earlier. To make a request, write to [email protected] and describe what you want. We may need to confirm your identity first and will respond within the period the law requires.

Children

Preventionnow is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not seek personal details from anyone under that age. A parent or guardian who finds that a child has emailed us can ask for the message to be erased, and we will remove it.

Security

The site is served over encrypted connections, and only the operator reads the inbox. Even so, no system on the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute protection.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in other countries whose laws differ from yours. Reading Preventionnow means your visit data can be handled in those places.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated when our tools, our providers or the rules we follow change. The effective date above shows when this version began, and continuing to read Preventionnow after a change means you accept the updated policy.
